Vendor selection

Choose the right development team, with someone on your side.

We run the selection on your terms: a shortlist, structured demos, a like-for-like comparison of proposals, and a plain-language review of the contract before you sign.

How the selection runs

  1. Step 1

    Shortlist

Teams that fit your budget, stack and time zone, including any you already have in mind.

  2. Step 2

    Structured demos

Every team answers the same questions, on your agenda.

  3. Step 3

    Proposal comparison

Quotes laid side by side against your specification, with gaps flagged.

  4. Step 4

    Contract review

Scope, milestones, ownership and support terms explained before you sign. We are not lawyers; we flag what to ask yours.

What we compare

The eight areas where quotes most often differ, or leave things out.

Does the quote cover every feature in your specification, or only the easy parts?

Team

Who will actually work on it, and how much of their time is yours?

Testing

Is testing planned and priced, or assumed?

Handover and documentation

Will you receive the code, credentials and documentation to continue without them?

Ownership of the code

Is it clear that you own the code and designs you paid for?

Hosting and running costs

What will it cost per month after launch, and who pays?

Maintenance and support

What happens when something breaks after launch, and how fast?

Change requests

How are new requests priced and approved?

Questions about vendor selection

Do you take referral fees from vendors?

Content needed: confirm your policy. If true: No. We are paid only by you.

Can you review a quote I already have?

Yes. A single-quote review is a common starting point.

Do you recommend specific agencies?

We recommend teams that fit your project after comparing them. When we run your selection, Entretech Studio is never one of the options.

Where are the vendors based?

Wherever suits your budget, language and time zone. We have no preference beyond fit.

Holding quotes you can't compare? Start there.

A short conversation with a founder about where you are. You leave with an honest read and a sensible next step, whether or not that involves us.

Free and without obligation. Content needed: call length

  1. Before the callWe read what you sent, so the call starts with your problem.
  2. On the callWe ask questions, listen, and explain how we would approach it.
  3. After the callIf we are a fit, a written proposal with a fixed scope follows. If not, we say so.
